How do I submit a Request for Power?
To request power:
- Go to the “Request for Power” page and fill in these fields:
- Building Name/Code, Floor and Room number
- Project Manager and UofT Project # (ask the Project Manager if not available)
- Proposed Date (choose the earliest one)
- Project Status (match the documents submitted)
- Service Order number (ask the Project Manager)
- Reason (write a short explanation/instruction)
- Connect to/Notes (leave blank)
- Voltage/Phase (pick the highest values in your work scope)
- Current (enter the total load current added Normal/Emergency/Life Safety Power with respect to voltage)
- Demand Load on Normal/Emergency/Life Safety Power (check the boxes and enter the connected and estimated loads with demand factor)
- El. Consultant (select your firm or New)
- Download and email the excel file to the manager without changing it.
How do I submit a Request for Shutdown?
To request shutdown:
- Go to the “Request for Shutdown” page and fill in these fields:
- Building Name/Code, Floor and Room number
- Panel Name/Number and check if installing new breakers
- Short circuit rating of the breaker (if installing new breakers)
- Project Manager and UofT Project # (ask the Project Manager if not available)
- Proposed Date, Duration and Start Time of shutdown
- Service Order number (ask the Project Manager)
- Shutdown type and Power Request number (select New Loads and Select the Approved Power Request)
- Electrical Contractor details (company name, contact, email and phone)
- Affected Area (write the impact of the shutdown)
- Reason (write a short explanation for shutdown)
- Required Updates to Equipment in CMMS (select Add, Delete or Change if you are adding, removing, or altering equipment.)
- Download and email the excel file to the Project Manager without changing it.
